Summer might be just around the corner but that doesn't mean it's time to trade in boots for sliders just yet. Firstly, because I live in the U.K, so whilst it might be Spring, and the sun may be out – it's obv only a matter of time before the rain kicks in and we all remember we don't live in Spain. Secondly, I'm the kind of person that basically wears boots year-round, 'cos they're practical and make me look tougher than I actually am. The trick, mes amis, when it comes to wearing boots outwith Winter, is to shelf your fur-lined DM's for a more...summery pair. That means switching black leather finishes for something that brings some bright vibes to your day - even if the weather doesn't. Right now, I'm loving the collab between London-based artist, Camille Walala and the traditional British work boot brand, Cat Footwear. Mixing Cat's rugged and hard-wearing boots with Camille's bright and poppy, Memphis-inspired aesthetic, this collaboration focuses on quality and craftsmanship with a vibrant edge. My personal fave from the collection is a monochromatic masterpiece in the form of Cat's much-loved Lyric boot, which Camille has updated with a repeat 'Liquorice' pattern and a cool translucent gum sole – perfect for rocking in the London sun (if we get any).
